Jumpstart

Jumpstart is a national charity with a commitment to local communities. Organized sports connect kids to their communities. Canadian Tire Corporation recognized this and makes sure that money raised stays where it is donated. Canadian Tire Corporation is Jumpstart’s biggest supporter as it funds all the general administrative expenses of Jumpstart, which means 100% of customer donations go directly to help kids in need. Athletes 4 Kids

All across BC, hundreds of children and youth are denied the opportunity to participate in amateur sports due to one simple fact: lack of funds. A4K’s overarching goal is to be there to assist any B.C. child in their dream of playing amateur sports. In other words, we want all kids to have the opportunity to play. Eligible applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  • The family is receiving social assistance
  • The family net income is equal to or less than $40,000 per year
  • The applicant is receiving social assistance
  • The applicant is in a foster care program
